The new building offers a huge range of facilities making it the perfect venue for many types of events and activities.
The new Village Hall has given the Cullingworth community a modern, large building, which is flexible in terms of how it can be used, designed to be economic in terms of running costs with modern underfloor heating systems, insulated glazing and improved security elements.

In 2013, a new village hall group was formed and planning began to create a purpose-built modern village hall for the future.
This was most definitely not a straight-forward process and the team overcame a number of challenges to achieve their aims.
However, after six years of hard work by the Village Hall Renewal Committee and the Management Committee (all of whom are volunteers), and many more volunteers from the local community, the brand new Cullingworth Village Hall opened for business on Saturday 27 April 2019.

The village of Cullingworth near Bingley in West Yorkshire decided they needed a new village hall. They bought a pre-fabricated, used building from the Salvation Army in Keighley that was no longer in use. The building was dismantled and rebuilt piece by piece in the village.
The hall was a welcome addition and was used for many years as the hub of village life in Cullingworth, however by 2010 it was really showing its age.
Did you know that our board and the people that run the hall are all dedicated volunteers?
They give up their free time to help ensure this space supports the community as it was intended.
Janet has been a member of the Village Hall Committee at various times for over 30 years. Janet is responsible for facilitating the running of the charitable business. She is dedicated to the ethos of ‘giving back’ to the community and was also instrumental in growing the village playgroup to an OFSTED Outstanding Preschool. Janet has lived in Cullingworth for 40 years. She is an active member of the scout group committee. She enjoys spending time with her family, musicals and travelling to new places.
Linda has been part of the committee for a number of years. She is responsible for housekeeping and making sure we have the resources to meet the needs of the running of the hall. Linda has been part of this community for 30 years and works at the local pre-school and volunteers at the local scout group.
Sandie joined the committee in 2015 and is the first point of call for anyone who wants to book the hall. She liaises with all the regular users and individual hirers to make sure the facilities are available and looked after. Sandie is a member of St John’s church, works in a primary school and has lived in
Cullingworth for over 10 years. Sandie enjoys going to the theatre and dining out with friends.
Kathryn joined the committee in 2019 after spending 6 years
helping to fund and construct the new building. She is
responsible for marketing and business planning. She is a
retired publisher and first moved to Cullingworth in 1989.
Kathryn enjoys spending time with friends and family, concerts
and going away.
Andy joined the committee in 2021 having volunteered his DIY skills to the fit-out of the new village hall. He is responsible for ensuring that all serviceable items are maintained to a high standard, on time and within budget. Andy retired in 2010 when he returned to Yorkshire, having worked in engineering at Rolls-Royce and IT at various software consultancies. He moved to Cullingworth in 2017 and has a keen interest in DIY and pretty much anything to do with cars and football!
Dawn has lived in Cullingworth for over 30 years and joined the committee in 2021. She is responsible for minuting meetings and assisting the Chair with administrative tasks.
She is a former care home Business Manager, helping them to achieve CQC “Outstanding” status, and previously worked as a Medical Secretary at Airedale NHS Foundation Trust.
She has experience in banking and finance and held various administrative and management positions in Children's Services with Bradford Council.
Janice joined the committee in 2019 and is responsible for ensuring all the charity’s financial matters are in Janice is an avid walker, enjoys singing and is a member of Cullingworth Community Choir.good order. She recently retired as a Headteacher and has lived in Cullingworth for 20 years.
