Welcome to Cullingworth Village Hall

Spring is definitely in the air

We are in the process of trying to convert the green space in front of the hall/preschool into a beautiful wild flower garden.  It’s quite a project, with several elements doing their best to sabotage us, namely the weather, the weeds and the birds (we don’t mind the birds so much).

Anyway, keep your eyes open for some green shoots amid the dandelions and your fingers crossed for a stunning display of colours – eventually!

Make a Booking

If you are interested in making a booking, you are welcome to check the availability on our online calendar by clicking here.  Please be aware that the calendar is subject to change at short notice.

Please be aware that the times on the calendar are the actual times that the hall is booked, and not necessarily the time of the individual classes.

We have recently looked at our suitability as a large event venue and decided that due to the location of our hall in the middle of a residential area, we will not be able to host any event which will impact on our neighbours.  As such, we expect anyone booking a private, evening event to be a resident of either Cullingworth, Denholme, Wilsden or Harden.  We also have the following restrictions:

The Village Hall is licensed for indoor activities/events only and our full terms and conditions must be adhered to, any breach of these conditions will result in the event being stopped and a loss of any fee/deposit paid.
Evening events are expected to book on Saturdays only.
Events are not to spill outside and there is a no smoking policy inside the village hall and the surrounding area, this includes e-cigarettes.
Windows are to remain closed and fire doors are only to be used in an emergency. There is an air conditioning system fitted.
The cafe area and outside patio area are separate tenanted spaces, are not part of any hire agreement and must not be used in any way.
Cullingworth Village Hall is a community space and is unable to cater for larger events which may cause a disturbance to our neighbours.
At the end of the event, the hall must be returned to its original condition, with all equipment returned to its designated place.
There is no facility at the Village Hall to dispose of any hirer’s waste and all rubbish must be taken away by the hirer.
Any music must stop by 11pm and the hirer and all guests must vacate the premises before midnight.

If you wish to continue with your booking request, and when you have found a suitable date, please email cullingworth.villagehall@gmail.com to request a pre-booking form.

Hire charges are dependent upon the use of the hall and the number of people attending.  Please complete the pre-booking form and return it via email or drop it into the post box at the hall.  Once we have all the details, we will be able to quote a hire charge.

If you intend to sell or supply alcohol at your event, please speak with the Management Committee when you request your booking, as you may need to apply for a Temporary Event Notice.

Our full terms and conditions can be found here.

If you are interested in a regular booking for a class/course, please see our Regular Users Terms and Conditions here.

We look forward to hosting your next event!
